Welcome to the extraordinary city of London. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your trip manager. Dine on a delightful breakfast or lunch (depending on your time of arrival) at the hotel.
Embark on an exploration of the capital city of monuments and monarchs. Allow your local guide to show you the Crown jewels in the Tower of London, designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, and unravel the grisly tales of executions, exotic animals, and royal hauntings. For lovers of everything royal, Westminster Abbey, the ‘Royal Peculiar’ has a centuries-old history that captures fairytale weddings. Its history dates back to 1066 and is the final resting place for over 3,500 figures, including Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking, as well as 17 British monarchs and their consorts.
You’ll see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace and perhaps indulge in quintessentially English afternoon tea before returning to your hotel to freshen up before drinking gin brambles and enjoying a three-course dinner in your hotel.
You’ll indulge in a legendary full English ‘fry-up’ breakfast of bacon, sausages, Heinz baked beans, mushrooms, eggs, and fried bread. There is a vast collection of curated explorations you can choose from, allowing you to discover other parts of historic London. Travel further afield to the famed and ancient university cities of Oxford and Cambridge. Bath is one of Britain’s most appealing cities with its Roman baths and Georgian architecture, hipster eateries, and swanky spas. Stonehenge is a prehistoric mystery of rugged stones that rise proudly from Salisbury Plain.
After another gargantuan British breakfast, you’ll make your way to glorious Paris on the Eurostar. Relax in business-class seating as the last of the English countryside speeds past. Plunge 246 feet below the surface of the ‘Channel’ under the Atlantic Ocean as you are whisked to France’s capital city within mere hours.
If you feel adventurous, then make a detour with your tour manager and discover Bruges and the Quay of the Rosary or Rozenhoedkaai. The medieval postcard-worthy tour allows you to explore the Lake of Love, castle-like buildings, bridges, and ancient wooden docks that reflect in mirror-still waters. Feast on famous piping hot Belgian Liege waffles, crispy fries, well-crafted beers, and fine chocolates.
On arrival to Paris, you’ll have time to freshen up before your guide takes you on a remarkable tour of the city to discover the various highlights, well-loved icons, and hidden gems, not to mention uncovering some of the mysterious secrets that the city holds. Next, your guide will transport you to the Palace of Versailles; you can explore the entire 700-roomed estate where Louis XIV and Queen Marie Antoinette once resided.
Upon returning to your hotel, you can choose to continue exploring your locale or enjoy a restful evening, a cocktail or two, and a lavish French dinner.
Start the day with a filling butter and croissant-filled Parisian breakfast before exploring the city of romance under your own steam. You can choose from a beautiful collection of curated explorations that will allow you to discover more of the city or the nearby Normandy, Champagne, and Loire Valley provinces with your trip manager or guide.
