Itinerary and What to Expect?

Welcome to the extraordinary city of London. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your trip manager. Dine on a delightful breakfast or lunch (depending on your time of arrival) at the hotel.

Embark on an exploration of the capital city of monuments and monarchs. Allow your local guide to show you the Crown jewels in the Tower of London, designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, and unravel the grisly tales of executions, exotic animals, and royal hauntings. For lovers of everything royal, Westminster Abbey, the ‘Royal Peculiar’ has a centuries-old history that captures fairytale weddings. Its history dates back to 1066 and is the final resting place for over 3,500 figures, including Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking, as well as 17 British monarchs and their consorts.

You’ll see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace and perhaps indulge in quintessentially English afternoon tea before returning to your hotel to freshen up before drinking gin brambles and enjoying a three-course dinner in your hotel.

You’ll indulge in a legendary full English ‘fry-up’ breakfast of bacon, sausages, Heinz baked beans, mushrooms, eggs, and fried bread. There is a vast collection of curated explorations you can choose from, allowing you to discover other parts of historic London. Travel further afield to the famed and ancient university cities of Oxford and Cambridge. Bath is one of Britain’s most appealing cities with its Roman baths and Georgian architecture, hipster eateries, and swanky spas. Stonehenge is a prehistoric mystery of rugged stones that rise proudly from Salisbury Plain.

After another gargantuan British breakfast, you’ll make your way to glorious Paris on the Eurostar. Relax in business-class seating as the last of the English countryside speeds past. Plunge 246 feet below the surface of the ‘Channel’ under the Atlantic Ocean as you are whisked to France’s capital city within mere hours.

If you feel adventurous, then make a detour with your tour manager and discover Bruges and the Quay of the Rosary or Rozenhoedkaai. The medieval postcard-worthy tour allows you to explore the Lake of Love, castle-like buildings, bridges, and ancient wooden docks that reflect in mirror-still waters. Feast on famous piping hot Belgian Liege waffles, crispy fries, well-crafted beers, and fine chocolates.

On arrival to Paris, you’ll have time to freshen up before your guide takes you on a remarkable tour of the city to discover the various highlights, well-loved icons, and hidden gems, not to mention uncovering some of the mysterious secrets that the city holds. Next, your guide will transport you to the Palace of Versailles; you can explore the entire 700-roomed estate where Louis XIV and Queen Marie Antoinette once resided.

Upon returning to your hotel, you can choose to continue exploring your locale or enjoy a restful evening, a cocktail or two, and a lavish French dinner.

Start the day with a filling butter and croissant-filled Parisian breakfast before exploring the city of romance under your own steam. You can choose from a beautiful collection of curated explorations that will allow you to discover more of the city or the nearby Normandy, Champagne, and Loire Valley provinces with your trip manager or guide.

Savor your final Parisian breakfast before packing your bags and embarking on a magnificent journey across the French countryside before arriving at the Swiss lakeside city of Geneva. You’ll have immaculate first-class seating on the French TGV.

If you feel to explore further, you might want to detour into the delightful French village Beaune that boasts a historical hospice. Ramble through a Burgundy vineyard and take part in a delicious wine-tasting.

Upon arrival in Geneva, freshen up in your beautiful hotel before exploring Switzerland’s most cosmopolitan city. The beautiful city is encircled by the Rhône, Lake Geneva, the snow-capped Geneva, and Jura Mountains, and views of the famed Mont Blanc. With your trip manager, discover where Jean-Jacques Rousseau was born, explore Saint Peter’s Cathedral, walk under the shady trees of Parc des Bastions and flit across Lake Geneva’s shores in vibrant yellow mouettes.

After an afternoon spent exploring, relax and enjoy a lavish Genevan dinner and cocktails back at your hotel.

Breakfast is packed with Genevan delights such as open-faced freshly-baked bread slices smothered with Cenovis, honey or jam, and birchermüesli.

Geneva has a rich heritage that embraces multicultural communities that bring a fusion of traditions to the vibrant city. Explore the refined art of watchmaking in the Old Town. Feast on raclette, fondue, and delicious hot chocolate pots. If you prefer to go further afield, consider Montreux, Lausanne and Vevey Wines, Chamonix Mont-Blanc, or Evian’s Water exploration. Your trip manager is always on hand to assist you. In the evening, why not try some of the Swiss’ evening drinks’ that are infused with cherries, pears, apricots, and almonds, or absinthe, made with a blend of botanicals and the leaves of Artemisia absinthium.

After breakfast, leave behind spectacular Geneva and board the luxury Swiss Train and relax in first-class as you journey through the breathtaking scenery of valleys, mountains, villages, lakes, and rivers.

If you are in the mood for adventure, why not make a detour to Gruyères, the famous home of Swiss cheese, for an exclusive exploration and a delicious cheese tasting with your guide. Be spellbound by the extraordinary Gruyères Castle that stands proudly at the peak of Fribourg’s imposing Alpine foothills. La Maison Cailler is the iconic symbol of La Gruyère; this is a must-do Swiss chocolate exploration.

On arrival in Bern, you can continue to explore Switzerland’s capital city and the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Old Town with your guide and wander through the ancient picture-postcard streets. Bern’s beautiful center was built in today’s distinctive green-grey sandstone after a fire ravaged the city in 1405. Cobbled streets and folkloric fountains aesthetically enhance the city. Bern’s glorious red-roofed buildings swathe the Aare river.

After an exciting afternoon of discovery, retire to your hotel later in the day for a delicious Bern-style three-course dinner and cocktails.

Begin your day with a breakfast of Bernoises specialties; Ovomaltine, Langgass-Tee, Mandelbäli, and more. Why not take a curated exploration today and explore Basel and uncover their love of beer, Interlaken, and the top of Europe, or even visit Thun and hike around the famous Blue Lake.

Your day will start bright and early after a filling breakfast at your hotel. You’ll travel on the Swiss Train in first-class comfort and watch the scenic Alps and countryside of Switzerland glide past your window. You will snake past glorious lakes such as Lake Sempachersee, rivers, and down to the shores of Lake Lucerne. If you want more adventure, then make a detour into Interlaken and the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe, the breathtaking resort town in the mountainous region known as the Bernese Oberland. You’ll swoon at the spectacular vistas or squeal with excitement with adrenaline-loaded activities. Emerald glacier-fed lakes reflect the peaks of white-capped Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains. When you arrive in Lucerne, you’ll have time to freshen up before you step back in time and travel on Lake Lucerne’s paddle steamers and explore its shoreside villages and lose yourself in the many cobblestone alleyways with elaborately frescoed buildings and beautiful medieval squares. Follow the meandering cherry road as it winds you through magical lands of cherry trees and kirsch. Chapel Bridge is considered the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe.

In the late afternoon, return to your hotel to rest and savor your spectacular views or stroll through the local neighborhood. A delicious Swiss three-course dinner is served at your hotel with locally inspired cocktails.

Sample a traditional Swiss breakfast with birchermüesli and open-faced freshly-baked bread slices smothered with local honey or jam. You can choose to explore Lucerne at your own pace or with your trip manager, who will guide you through the rest of the lake-side city.

If you prefer, choose from one of the carefully planned curated explorations accompanied by a private guide. Head to Central Switzerland’s tallest mountain, Mt. Titlis, renowned for the world’s only revolving cable cars, which will allow you to ‘fly’ over the dazzling Titlis Glacier, or head to Mt. Pilatus, which is accessed by the world’s steepest cog railway. The royally visited vista offers a panoramic view of 73 Alpine peaks on a clear day. Legend has it that the peak was named after Pontius Pilate, whose corpse was thrown into a lake at its summit and whose restless ghost has haunted its heights ever since.

This is your last day. Depending on your schedule for your next destination or flight home, you might want to continue sightseeing around glorious Lucerne, purchase some more souvenirs, or relax.
